Green Karting
GreenKarting is a school program focused on sustainability and e-mobility. Students and pupils work together as a team to build their own electric kart using parts from our webshop. We provide support to schools and conduct technical inspections on driving days throughout the Netherlands. There are three types of karts:
- Greenkarts for secondary education
- KZ-karts (125 cc chassis) for vocational education (MBO)
- Superkarts for vocational education (MBO) and higher professional education (HBO).
EDUCATION PROGRAM
The program connects technology education with practical experience, innovation, and environmental awareness. By working together on sustainable vehicles, young people develop technical skills and a forward-thinking mindset. The program is suitable for students in vocational education, pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO/MAVO), senior general secondary education (HAVO), pre-university education (VWO), vocational education (MBO), and higher professional education (HBO). As a partner of GreenKarting, The Grid contributes to the promotion of technology in secondary and vocational education.
Teams
GreenKarting focuses on sustainable technology and on building your own electric kart. Racing is of secondary importance, although the driving days on outdoor circuits are, of course, what all teams work towards. During regional driving days and the national finals, teams showcase their technical skills, creativity, and driving prowess.
