Rental Karts

Rental karts can be found at indoor (and outdoor) kart tracks and offer an accessible way to get acquainted with karting. You use a ‘rental kart’ which you temporarily rent from the kart track and which is fundamentally different from a race kart. The rental kart is more robust and heavier, and is made to last a long time. The rental karts are generally powered by a Honda combustion engine (with or without LPG add-on) or electric.

The Grid – Racing is a Dutch (rental) kart manufacturer and all kart models are produced and assembled entirely in the Netherlands. By bringing the previous models of Interkart and Eglem Karts under one roof, we can supply different types of rental karts based on petrol, gas and electricity. The Grid Butterfly (Jr.)

The Butterfly chassis, originally designed by Eglem Karts, and further developed by The Grid – Racing, has proven to be a great mix of durability and race experience, for both indoor and outdoor use. The Butterfly is also available in a Junior version.

The Butterfly kart is used at Bleekemolens Race Planet, Kartbaan Duiven, Kartbaan Uden and Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit in the UK, among others.

The Grid Butterfly Electric

The Butterfly is also available in an electric version. The current Butterfly electric kart is used at De Uithof in The Hague and Grand Prix New York Racing & Entertainment in the US.

The Grid I-Kart

Evolved from the well-known Interkart chassis, the I-Kart has proved itself to be an extremely reliable and durable kart, perfectly suited for rental track conditions with elevations and fly-overs.

The I-kart can be supplied with a gas conversion (mixer and evaporator), including a gas tank holder, if desired.
